Tots Jiu-Jitsu (4-6 years)
Students will be introduced to the principles and techniques of Jiu-Jitsu through fun and interactive games and be introduced to some basic strategies for staying safe on the street and in the playground. This program is designed to prepare children for the Junior Bully/Street Safe Program.
Class Schedule: Saturdays 9am – 9.45am
Kids Jiu-Jitsu Programs
Fun and enjoyable programs for kids, which through drills and fun games develops their physical coordination, social skills, problem-solving skills, discipline and respect. Children through continued practice learn to control their emotions and apply their rational mind to resolve problems.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu also gives these children the added benefit of helping them deal with physical confrontations in a non-aggressive manner.
Advanced Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
This program naturally progresses from our Street Safe Jiu-Jitsu beginners stream and advances students’ self-defence skillsets further, and introduces the safe and controlled live practice to hone and sharpen the skills developed.
Above all else a safe, healthy and co-operative approach to learning Jiu-Jitsu is always encouraged, meaning our environment encourages us to aid each other in progressively understanding the art.
Junior Bully/Street Safe Program
(8-13 years old)
This program is designed to teach the students Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in a fun and interactive way while advancing their skills and strategies to stay safe on the street and in the playground. Skills range from advancing their physical skill sets learned in the Tots program, to developing your child’s confidence in themselves. This program aims to help children to find their voice and giving them the skills to handle different forms of bullying and problems in life through Gracie Jiu-Jitsu’s anti-bullying methodology.
Street Safe Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Program
The Street-Safe Jiu-Jitsu program is our beginner’s stream, which teaches Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, a system of street applicable techniques and strategies designed to keep you safe on the street. This program forms our beginner’s curriculum and gives students a system where they can utilise their understandings of leverage, distance management and body mechanics to survive against larger, stronger opponents.
Confidence Building in Kids
Building confidence in kids and teens is very important as it helps them cope with life challenges and succeed better. Confidence and self-esteem are mostly related; Self-esteem refers to the belief of a person about their worth. High self-esteem leads to having high confidence.
Self Defense for Women– an art to protect you!
