Street Safe Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Program
The Street-Safe Jiu-Jitsu program is our beginner’s stream, which teaches Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, a system of street applicable techniques and strategies designed to keep you safe on the street. This program forms our beginner’s curriculum and gives students a system where they can utilise their understandings of leverage, distance management and body mechanics to survive against larger, stronger opponents.
This program also serves as an engaging exercise for body and mind- using natural body movements of which everyone is capable, giving people confidence in a system and confidence of the capabilities in their own bodies and minds.
The program is taught in a safe, non-aggressive and co-operative environment that is highly conducive to learning and is suitable for all fitness levels, all walks of life.
Kids Jiu-Jitsu Programs
Fun and enjoyable programs for kids, which through drills and fun games develops their physical coordination, social skills, problem-solving skills, discipline and respect. Children through continued practice learn to control their emotions and apply their rational mind to resolve problems.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu also gives these children the added benefit of helping them deal with physical confrontations in a non-aggressive manner. Unlike most martial arts programs, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu does not teach your child to use damaging and aggressive kicks and punches but teaches them to take control of a situation with their words, and should a situation get physical, to stay safe and control the situation with control techniques.
Bullying in school can have long-lasting impacts on a child’s life, we help children to discover the confidence to find their voice, to stand up to bullies and communicate.
The games and activities aim to keep it all very fun and enjoyable for kids. Ultimately, the cooperative class environment aims to use these games and drills to help build better members for society.

Above all else a safe, healthy and co-operative approach to learning Jiu-Jitsu is always encouraged, meaning our environment encourages us to aid each other in progressively understanding the art.
The emphasis as in all our programs is on using our mind and natural body movements in the most efficient way possible to survive, with the assumption that the opponent is always bigger, stronger, and more athletic than us.
