Head Instructor - Cam Sobey
Cam started has trained in a number of martial arts over the last 10 years, but quickly found his passion lay with Jiu-Jitsu due to it’s unique ability to train the mind and body to find comfort, calmness and react rationally in seemingly uncomfortable situations. He believes Jiu-Jitsu helps train us to make the most efficient use of our body and mind to achieve our goals both on the mat and in life. He is committed to teaching the Self-Defence style of Jiu-Jitsu and passionately teaches this philosophy every day at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Singapore.

- 2015 A.I.M Academy Instructor of the Year Recipient
- Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu from Phillip Grapsas and Pedro Sauer in The Pedro Sauer Jiu-Jitsu Association, making him the highest graded Instructor at a Pedro Sauer Gracie Jiu-Jitsu School in Singapore.
- Competed Internationally at a Pan Pacific and World Level.

Assistant Instructor: Vance Choy
Vance used to train Jiu-Jitsu in a few different academies before calling Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Singapore home in 2015. He believes that besides giving one the ability to defend themselves, it’s also a great way to build a person’s character on and off the mats.
Currently a purple belt under Cameron Sobey and Master Pedro Sauer, he considers himself a forever student of the art and is more than happy to share his experience, skills and knowledge of our self-defence curriculum with you on the mats.
Assistant Instructor: Kit Perez
What started out as a way to help his son get better in Jiu-Jitsu developed into a passion when Kit started training at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Singapore in 2016. An avid practitioner, he believes that Jiu-Jitsu offers one the chance to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, and to be more efficient in dealing with the issues life throws at us.
Kit trains regularly and is currently a blue belt under Cameron Sobey and the Pedro Sauer Association. He’s always happy to share and teach his deep knowledge of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Singapore’s Beginners Curriculum so that his teammates can experience a deeper understanding of the art.
Assistant Instructor: Mei Yan Ong
Mei Yan is an active member of the academy, whose experience and friendly attitude has helped to build a strong community of female practitioners at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Singapore. In welcoming new students and offering her experience to help those less familiar with the art Mei Yan forms an integral part of our team and constantly demonstrates the power Jiu-Jitsu has to empower everybody regardless of size.
She has achieved the rank of purple belt by Cameron Sobey under the Pedro Sauer Association.
